OnTRAC II is an externally hosted career services management system that automates and supports the management of student internships, community services, workshops and jobs. OnTRAC II also enhances how information is shared and processed within the University, as well as between students and employers.

Services on OnTRAC II are made available to users as follows:
All active SMU students are given access in order to perform functions such as:
- Apply for internships and community services online
- Submit self-assessment reports upon completion of the respective internship or community service
- Apply for jobs via the portal
- Signup for workshops
Public (employers) are given access to OnTRAC II in order to perform functions such as:
- Post job openings for recruitment purposes
- Receive job applications online
- Search student profiles and resumes submitted via OnTRAC II
- Submit internship evaluations
Administrative users from the Office of Career Services (OCS) and the respective Schools are given access to perform functions such as:
- View and approve student applications for internships and community services
- Recognize internship and community service hours and to conduct grading exercses
- Administer job listings and workshop postings
