What is the Backup, Recovery and Storage service?

IITS administers and provides storage, backup and file recovery services for SMU central servers and system clusters.

Specification

The service entails the creation, deletion, backup, recovery, granting of user access and the allocation/increase of space quota. Additionally, IITS also carries out security maintenance work on centrally-managed storage (SAN) and backup infrastructure.
