Specification

• SMU is the owner of the domain name, and sub-domain names of “smu.edu.sg”.
• The registration and use of a SMU domain name or sub-domain name is only applicable to schools, departments and offices on official SMU businesses only. Registrations for individual, personal or non-official SMU business will not be granted.
• IITS administers and manages the domain name servers that populate the SMU addresses (URLs) to the Internet. All SMU domain names must be registered with IITS and be hosted within SMU’s domain name servers.
• IITS assists all SMU Schools, offices and department to register domain names with the relevant Internet Registries. Costs of the registration and annual fee will be borne by the respective schools and offices.
