IITS offers a convenient self-help service for password reset and unlocking, catering to the needs of its staff, students, faculty, and alumni during lockout situations. This service ensures a prompt resumption of their work or studies. We have provided two options for self-help, please refer to the provided options below to reset or unlock your account.
Option 1* "For Students, Staff and Faculty"
(NEW) Microsoft Self-Service Password reset (SSPR) and unlock system
Utilize the Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR) system to regain access to your Email, iNET, and other SMU resources by either unlocking or resetting your SMU password. SSPR is a system that allows you to independently manage and recover your password without the need for IT Help Centre assistance.

- This service is available for Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Staff and Faculty.

Option 2 "For Alumni"
Online Password Reset Service
UNLOCK or RESET your SMU Password to access your Email, OASIS, Alumni Services, and other SMU resources using a valid Singapore mobile number registered with SMU.
- This service is available to Alumni.
- Functionalities that the system offers: Reset, or Unlock your SMU password.
- Methods used to authenticate: OTP via a valid Singapore mobile number registered with SMU.

Steps to update your password!
After a password change, you will have to update ALL your devices (eg. Smartphone, Tablet, etc.) with this new password.

Expand All Close All This service is available to Active Matriculated Students and Alumni. This service will let you unlock and reset your SMU account password. To update your mobile number, please follow the following step:
Step 1: Point your browser to https://oasis.smu.edu.sg -> Click on Finance & Admin Menu -> “Update Personal Info and Citizenship” under Certification & Personal Info Menu.
Step 2: Under Supporting Functions, click on “Update/Confirm Personal data”
Step 3: Confirm/Update Self-Service Personal Data (Select Mobile) -> Enter your mobile number
To update your mobile number, please follow the following step: Step 1 : Point your browser to inet.smu.edu.sg -> Top Applications -> SMU -> Profile icon
If you are unable to locate the Profile icon, please click , select the Profile icon and click on "Return to Home"
